Mushin Budo is a new budo club offering Kyudo and Kendo practice in IngÄ village. As the club is very small, we can accept new members at any time of the year. Practice sessions are on Tuesdays and Thursdays. However, it might be possible to arranged other sessions if needed. The learning pace can also be adjusted to match each individual.People of all ages, backgrounds, nationalities and physical abilities are welcome. However, Kyudo members must be tall enough to hold a bow.
KYUDO
New members will use a training band (Gomuyumi) for 3 - 4 months, before moving on to using a bow in front of a practice target (Makiwara). Only after gaining enough experience from shooting at a Makiwara can members move on to shooting at a real target (Mato).
KENDO
New members will train without armour (Bogu) for 2 - 3 months to gain their 6th Kyu grade. After passing this exam, armour can then be worn. After passing the 6th Kyu exam, members can also train at other Finnish Kendo clubs if they wish.
